We are seeking a Site Controller to join our team in Ogden UT. This role serves as the senior finance leader for an assigned production site and acts as an extension of Corporate Finance Accounting and FP&A. The Site Controller is responsible for leading all site finance and accounting activities including financial planning and analysis general accounting cost accounting financial reporting internal controls budgeting forecasting and operational business partnership.

As a key member of the site leadership team this position partners closely with operations leaders to drive financial performance support productivity and operational excellence initiatives optimize costs and evaluate capital investments. The ideal candidate will bring strong manufacturing finance expertise leadership capabilities and a proven ability to translate financial data into actionable business insights.

Key Responsibilities

Operations Business Partnership

  • Serve as the senior finance leader for the production site partnering closely with site leadership to achieve operational and financial objectives.
  • Act as the primary liaison between site operations and Corporate Finance and Accounting ensuring alignment with enterprise goals financial commitments and reporting requirements.
  • Support profitability productivity and operational excellence initiatives by providing financial guidance and promoting data-driven decision-making.
  • Lead financial reviews identify risks and opportunities and provide actionable recommendations to site and corporate leadership.
  • Present forecasts financial results and variance analyses while translating complex financial and operational information into meaningful business insights.

Financial Planning & Analysis

  • Lead annual budgeting recurring forecasting and long-range planning activities.
  • Develop financial models scenario analyses and performance reports that connect operational drivers to financial outcomes.
  • Analyze business performance and explain forecast budget and period-over-period variances.
  • Identify performance trends risks and opportunities and recommend actions to improve results.
  • Drive forecast accuracy and support strategic planning efforts.
  • Provide financial leadership for capital investments productivity initiatives and operational improvement projects including business case development ROI analysis and post-investment reviews.

Manufacturing Finance & Accounting

  • Lead all site accounting activities including general accounting cost accounting inventory accounting month-end close and financial reporting.
  • Analyze manufacturing performance through labor material inventory overhead productivity and cost variance reporting.
  • Maintain the integrity of standard costing inventory valuation and related financial records.
  • Support internal and external audits while ensuring compliance with accounting policies and reporting requirements.
  • Develop implement and monitor internal controls and financial processes to mitigate operational financial and compliance risks.
  • Ensure timely documentation execution and maintenance of internal controls in accordance with company policies regulatory requirements and audit standards.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead coach and develop site finance and accounting team members.
  • Build organizational capability through talent development succession planning and performance management.
  • Foster a culture of accountability collaboration continuous improvement and business partnership.
  • Promote standardized processes reporting and best practices across the finance and accounting organization.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 8 years of progressive accounting and finance experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience as a Controller Plant Controller Site Controller or similar manufacturing finance leadership role.
  • Strong expertise in financial planning and analysis manufacturing accounting cost accounting inventory accounting and internal controls.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with operations leadership and influence business decisions.
  • Experience leading developing and mentoring accounting and finance teams.
  • Strong ERP systems financial systems analytical and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA CMA or other relevant professional certification.
  • Experience supporting multi-site manufacturing operations.
  • Strong background in capital project evaluation and investment analysis.
  • Experience driving process improvement and operational excellence initiatives.
  • Knowledge of SOX compliance audit readiness and corporate governance practices.
  • Experience working within publicly traded or complex industrial organizations.

Physical Requirements

This position is primarily office-based but may require time spent in a manufacturing environment. Regular use of computers and standard office equipment is required. Employees may occasionally be required to stand walk production facilities and travel between sites as business needs dictate.
