Purpose/Objective of the Role:
The OWU Student Involvement Office (SIO) is seeking motivated customer service-oriented SIO Student Purchasing Coordinators to support student organization purchasing and travel. This role meets with student leaders to check out University credit cards make online orders and book travel and transportation. This role provides excellent customer service by assisting with purchasing questions keeping accurate records and communicating to internal and external vendors. Successful candidates should demonstrate professionalism strong communication skills dependability and a commitment to being detail oriented.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
Attend training sessions and demonstrate proficiency in understanding of the Student Involvement Offices services resources and procedures
Arrive prepared on time and dressed appropriately to all scheduled shifts
Oversee the credit card check out process and ensure policies and procedures are being followed
Host meetings with student organizations to purchase supplies food and other needs for upcoming events and programs
Coordinate transportation and travel arrangements for student organizations
Maintain accurate spending records and student organization paperwork
Qualifications/Skills:
Must be willing to learn and enthusiastic about working with student organizations and their leaders. This position requires strong communication skills attention to detail and having ability to manage multiple projects. Preference is given to juniors or seniors with a business or accounting major. Preference is given to students with a federal work study award.
