Shuttle DriverPosition SummaryThe Shuttle Driver is responsible for the safe and timely movement of trailers equipment and freight between company facilities warehouses plants and designated customer locations. The successful candidate will ensure efficient trailer transfers while maintaining compliance with all safety regulations company policies and transportation ResponsibilitiesSafely commercial vehicles operate to shuttle trailers and equipment between designated drop-and-hook operations and trailer exchanges as pre-trip post-trip and en-route inspections of equipment and report any defects or maintenance trailers are properly secured and positioned at docks and designated yard accurate logs inspection reports and transportation effectively with dispatch warehouse personnel plant staff and management regarding equipment status and delivery to all federal provincial/state and local transportation to Hours of Service (HOS) regulations and company safety a clean safe and professional work with yard management activities as all company safety policies and Class A CDL (or equivalent commercial drivers license).Clean driving abstract and satisfactory safety commercial driving experience preferred but not understanding of transportation and safety to work independently and manage time communication and organizational RequirementsAbility to sit for extended periods while operating a commercial to climb in and out of truck cabs and trailers to perform vehicle inspections and secure equipment as meet all physical and medical requirements necessary to maintain a commercial drivers ConditionsWork may include day afternoon night weekend and holiday to varying weather conditions and outdoor work movement between warehouses plants yards and customer -paced transportation and logistics and BenefitsCompetitive compensation and wellness benefits (where applicable).Paid vacation and statutory -provided for career growth and InformationNo experience necessary; training will be training period typically a few duties consist of drop-and-hook operations and trailer shuttling between locations.
