Full-Time School Social Worker (K2) School Year Maternity Leave Coverage Country Club Hills IL

Join a welcoming elementary school community near Country Club Hills IL and support some of its youngest learners as a full-time School Social Worker for the school year. This maternity leave coverage position runs from August 2026 through November 2027 offering stability purpose and the chance to make a real impact on early elementary students in the Country Club Hills area.

In this role youll manage a K2 caseload of approximately 27 students providing direct and indirect social-emotional support collaborating closely with teachers and related service providers and participating in IEP and team meetings. Youll help students build essential skills in self-regulation social problem-solving and overall school adjustment so they can succeed in the classroom and beyond.

Youll be on-site throughout the school week partnering with students families and staff to identify needs design interventions and support a positive school climate. Requirements
  • Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Social Worker endorsement

  • Or willingness to obtain the IL PEL with Social Work endorsement prior to the start of the assignment (license reimbursement available)

  • Masters degree in Social Work from an accredited program (school social work track preferred)

  • Previous experience in a school setting or pediatric/child-focused environment is strongly preferred
