Job Summary

Summary:The Shop Mechanic serves as an ambassador for the company and is responsible for managing equipment installation and repairs for pumps and all related rotating are performed on-site and on demand to ensure complete customer Functions:Service pumps and related equipmentAlign equipment using laser alignment and dial indicatorsEnsure compliance with health and safety laws regulations and best practicesPerform required inspection as directed per work instructions and quality checklistPerforms other duties as assignedRequired Education and Experience:Previous field experience working on related pump equipment is highly desiredKnowledge Skills and Abilities:Strong mechanical and problem-solving skillsPositive attitude and desire to grow an existing sales & service businessAbility to use precision measuring tools i.e. dial calipers micrometers to work in a team work ethic with ability to work under minimal supervisionExcellent verbal and written communication skills with proven ability to clearly communicate with sales management and customersThorough understanding of products and equipment used in manufacturingExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailExcellent time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlinesAbility to read blueprints and drawingsKnowledge of safety regulations for working with hazardous chemicals and handling high pressure and high temperature liquidsWork Environment:This job operates in a service shop environment.
