Shipping Technician

This role currently follows a Monday - Friday 8 hour shifts schedule. Day position and night position available. Night shift is Mon - Fri 7pm to 3:30 am.

What we are looking for:

• Minimum: High School Diploma/GED.
• Forklift experience
• Manufacturing facility experience preferred
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the role including lifting 50 lbs standing for long periods of time and completing repetitive tasks
• Ability to work in a collaborative fast-paced environment
• Ability to problem solve and identify safety hazards

Position Responsibilities:

• Verifies quantity quality labeling and addressing of products and items of merchandise ready for shipment
• Counts weighs measures or examines packaging and contents of items for conformance to company specifications
• Compares items packed with customers order and other identifying data
• Loads unloads and moves materials within on work site
• Loads materials onto vehicles and installs strapping bracing or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit
• Loads and unloads board or other materials onto or from pallets trays racks and shelves
• Counts weighs and records number of units of materials moved or handled on daily tracking sheet
• Cleans work area machines and equipment
• Operates forklift in loading trucks or moving materials and products
• All other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to move freely throughout the facility including climbing stairs and ladders and navigating around equipment and machinery.
• Ability to bend stoop and crouch as necessary to inspect and maintain equipment.
• Capability to lift and carry materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to perform physical tasks that involve lifting pushing pulling and carrying heavy objects.
• Endurance to stand and walk for extended periods often in environments with dust chemicals high noise levels and varying temperatures
