Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Shipping Superintendent to join our team. The Shipping Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of the shipping operations ensuring the efficient and timely delivery of products to customers while maintaining the highest standards of safety quality and compliance.

Job Description:

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead a team of shipping personnel providing guidance training and supervision to ensure smooth operations.

  • Plan coordinate and prioritize daily shipping activities to meet production schedules and customer demands.

  • Collaborate with various departments such as production sales and logistics to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment.

  • Monitor inventory levels and work closely with inventory control teams to maintain accurate records and minimize discrepancies.

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations safety standards and company policies to create a safe and secure working environment.

  • Implement and optimize processes to enhance efficiency and minimize errors in shipping operations.

  • Coordinate with transportation providers to schedule shipments

  • Investigate and resolve any shipping issues and collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.

  • Regularly analyze performance metrics and KPIs producing reports to evaluate the effectiveness of shipping operations and identify areas for improvement.

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement encouraging team members to contribute ideas and suggestions for operational enhancements.

  • Maintain accurate documentation including training records reports and compliance paperwork.

Successful incumbents will have:

  • Strong leadership experience with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.

  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.

  • Proficiency in using shipping software and Microsoft Office suite.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across departments and with external partners.

  • In-depth knowledge of shipping regulations compliance standards and best practices.

  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to make quick decisions in fast-paced environments.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining records and documentation.

  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and operational needs.
