ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Join our global manufacturing team at Ocean Optics where precision logistics and operational excellence support the delivery of cutting-edge optical solutions. As a Shipping Specialist you will be responsible for coordinating domestic and international shipments managing inventory systems and supporting warehouse operations across multiple regions.

You will:

• Oversee shipping processes for high-value optical components and systems.

• Staging consolidated shipments creating a complete manifest list

• Daily and Weekly consolidated shipment for international shipments.

• Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations and documentation.

• Maintain inventory accuracy using ERP systems and logistics platforms.

• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure timely and secure delivery.

• Support warehouse operations including material handling packaging and stock replenishment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and process domestic and international shipments including customs documentation and harmonization codes.

• Operate logistics software (e.g. D365) for inventory tracking order fulfillment and shipment scheduling.

• Coordinate freight carriers (UPS FedEx DHL) and manage logistics timelines.

• Maintain accurate records for audits ISO compliance and regulatory reporting.

• Attention to detail is critical to ensure correct items and values are verified before shipment.

• Operate forklifts pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.

• Communicate logistics issues and delays to department Manager and Customer Service.

• Other duties as assigned.

ABOUT THE CANDIDATE

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or associate degree in logistics or supply chain preferred.

• 2 years of experience in shipping receiving or logistics in a manufacturing environment.

• Proficiency in ERP systems (D365 Oracle SAP) Microsoft Office and logistics platforms.

• Familiarity with international shipping regulations and customs procedures.

• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and across global teams.
