Shipping & Receiving Manager

The Warehouse Supervisor directly supervises and coordinates all activities in the warehouse department to maximize productivity on assigned shifts and areas.This includes planningassigningand directing work addressing product and employee complaints and resolving problems.This person carries out supervisory responsibilitiesin accordance withthe Companys policies OSHAregulationsand applicable laws whileapplying continuous improvement methods.

• Supervises allphases ofwarehouse operationsand activities toincludewarehouseschedulesproduct put-awayoperationsandinventory warehouse management.

• Maintains inventory and product loss control coordinatestimelyandaccuratereceiving and ensures safety/operational guidelines are met.

• Ensures proper procedures are in place and being followed for productionto putawayefficiency quality of product employee safety and state and federal guidelines.

• Works with plant management and other supervisory staff to assign direct review and monitor work of supervised staff to maximize productivity warehouse and shipping department.

• Establishes and monitors employees work schedules to meetthe needsof business.

• Support and lead Warehouse Coordinator activities and oversee SAPtransactions to ensure transaction integrity.

• Supportinventory activities to includeidentifying investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies resulting from the use of exception codes.

• Recommends improvements to reducecostsand drive productivity within the department while achieving the targeted Sales to Service Goals.

• Analyzes and resolves workproblems orassistsworkers in solving work problems.

• Maintains time and shipping records as required.Prepares reports for management review.

• Ensures thatthe warehouse work areas are always clean and organized.

• Supervises and coordinates product rework activities.

• Collaborates with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.

• Provides supervision of assigned employees in scheduling and daily activities ensuring effectiveselection retention feedback disciplinaryactionand performance management.If a collective bargaining agreement existswe mayparticipatein grievancesinvestigationsor other contract related activities and discussions.

• Provides effective employee training and instruction.Complete training documentation and progress.

• Oversees instructionimplementationand enforcement of policies as they relate to employees.

• Adhere to the SaputoCode ofEthics and actively applySaputovalues.

• Engagesthe typical responsibilities of a manager requiring planning evaluating organizingintegratingand delegating.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

• Bachelors degree preferred or a minimum of 2yearsplant experiencein a warehouse setting.

• Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices.

• Experience leading and following Safety/Security Policies and Procedures.

• Ability to follow all Sanitation and Quality Policies and Procedures and report and follow through on any deficiencies.

• Lift truck certification or the ability to obtaina lifttruck certification (Powered Industrial Trucks).

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and computer-based applicationsSAPa plus.

• Excellent verbal/written communication skills.

• Ability to adapt to changing organizational and operational needs; ability to lead others through change.

• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Skill in organization and prioritization and attention to detail.
