Shipping & Receiving Clerk

Key Responsibilities

• Receive incoming shipments; inspect for damage verify quantities and match against purchase orders and packing slips
• Accurately enter receipts into ERP/WMS systems
• Label store and organize materials in designated warehouse locations
• Prepare outgoing shipments including picking packing and staging orders
• Load and unload trucks using forklifts and other material handling equipment
• Coordinate with production purchasing and logistics to prioritize material flow
• Maintain accurate inventory through cycle counts and regular audits
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures including proper forklift operation
• Handle documentation such as bills of lading shipping manifests and carrier paperwork
• Communicate discrepancies shortages or damaged goods to appropriate teams

Qualifications and Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• 13 years of shipping/receiving experience in a manufacturing or warehouse setting preferred
• Forklift certification (or ability to obtain)
• Basic computer skills (ERP/WMS experience preferred)
• Ability to read shipping documents and follow work instructions
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English both orally and in writing.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
• Frequent standing walking bending and equipment operation
• Ability to work in a warehouse/manufacturing environment
