What Were Looking For
Our Indianapolis Indiana location is currently seeking a Shipping & Receiving person to work the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday - Friday with occasional Saturday overtime.
This position will be responsible for pulling and staging orders loading/off-loading common carriers and Superior transferred non-bulk freight. Working well with others and the ability to jump in and assist other production areas when needed will be a must.
What You Do
- Review associated paperwork and any special instructions.
- Inspect containers for damage.
- Inspect labels product name paperwork and piece count when loading and unloading product. Notify your manager if there are any issues.
- Pull product samples and submit to the Lab for quality control.
- Label containers properly and secure to closure specifications.
- Daily forklift operation loading and unloading trailers.
- May be responsible for communication with a logistics company.
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be required in accordance with the potential hazard and potential for exposure.
- Maintain a safe orderly clean operation of equipment and work area.
- May cross train in various positions including shipping/receiving handling of bulk product inventory control chemical packaging fiberglass handling tote cleaning preventative plant maintenance and/or yard truck spotting.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Strong safety mindset
- Forklift Certification preferred
- Must have effective verbal and written skills enabling clear and strong interactions with co-workers chemists administrative staff delivery personnel and management.
- Must be able to lift 55 lbs
