Shipping & Logistics Coordinator

This role is responsible for preparing packaging documenting and coordinating domestic and international shipments while ensuring compliance with company quality safety and customer requirements. This position plays a key role in supporting production schedules and customer satisfaction through efficient shipping operations.

The essential functions of the position include but are not limited to:

• Pick stage package and prepare materials parts and products for shipment according to production schedules and customer requirements.
• Review work orders shipping notices bills of lading packing slips invoices and related documentation to prioritize and coordinate shipments.
• Verify quantities weights dimensions and part numbers to ensure shipment accuracy.
• Determine appropriate shipping methods and carriers based on destination customer requirements cost and delivery timelines.
• Process domestic and international shipments using shipping software including UPS WorldShip FedEx Ship Manager and other carrier systems as required.
• Generate and apply shipping labels packing slips customs documentation and related shipping records.
• Package products using appropriate materials and methods to ensure safe transport and delivery.
• Build assemble and repair shipping crates pallets and other shipping containers using wood and related materials.
• Operate hand tools power tools forklifts pallet jacks and other material handling equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
• Load unload move and stage materials throughout the facility and shipping areas.
• Inspect outgoing shipments to ensure proper packaging labeling and compliance with customer and company requirements.
• Provide support and cross-functional coverage for shipping receiving inventory and warehouse operations as needed.
• Maintain accurate shipping records and documentation in company systems.
• Follow all company safety policies quality standards and operating procedures.
• Maintain a clean organized and safe work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned that are consistent with the nature and scope of the position.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two (2) or more years of experience in shipping warehouse logistics manufacturing or related operations preferred.
• Experience with domestic and international shipping processes is preferred.
• Experience operating forklifts or other material handling equipment is preferred.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

• Working knowledge of shipping and carrier systems including UPS WorldShip and FedEx shipping platforms.
• Basic computer skills including data entry and use of Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to read and interpret shipping documents work instructions and safety procedures.
• Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to safely use hand tools power tools and material handling equipment.
• Commitment to quality safety and continuous improvement.

• Frequently required to stand and walk throughout the workday.
• Frequently required to use hands and arms to handle grasp reach and manipulate materials and tools.

• Frequently required to lift carry push and pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds independently.
• May occasionally move heavier materials with assistance or mechanical lifting equipment.
• Must possess visual ability sufficient to inspect materials read labels and shipping documents and safely operate equipment.

Work Environment

• Manufacturing and warehouse environment.
• Regular exposure to moving mechanical equipment and powered industrial vehicles.
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
• Noise levels are generally moderate and may occasionally be high in manufacturing areas.
