Position Summary
Novolex is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Shipping Administrator to join our Meriden manufacturing this role you will coordinate daily shipping and receiving operations to ensure the accurate timely and efficient movement of finished goods raw materials and production supplies. You will serve as a key liaison between Production Warehouse Scheduling and Quality while maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting world-class customer service.
What Youll Do
- Coordinate daily outbound shipments and inbound deliveries.
- Process shipping receiving inventory and transfer transactions in the ERP system.
- Prepare shipping documentation bills of lading packing slips labels and carrier paperwork.
- Schedule freight with approved transportation providers.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through transaction processing cycle counts and reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with customer routing requirements and shipping specifications.
- Support SQF GMP OSHA food safety and inventory traceability requirements.
- Collaborate with Production Planning Warehouse Customer Service Purchasing Maintenance and Quality to support operational goals.
- Assist with physical inventories audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 35 years of experience in shipping logistics warehouse operations inventory control or manufacturing.
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.
- Excellent organizational communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree in Business Supply Chain Logistics or related field.
- Manufacturing experience.
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Forklift experience or certification.
This position works in both an office and manufacturing environment requiring frequent interaction with warehouse and production personnel. Occasional overtime may be required to support customer demand month-end activities inventories and audits.
