Under the supervision of the Shipping Supervisor the Shipping/Receiving Clerk is responsible for preparing packing and shipping products ensuring accuracy safety and quality control throughout the shipping process. This role also supports receiving functions and general warehouse operations as needed.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and complete final assembly of valve products for shipment
Pack items securely to prevent damage during transit
Perform final quality inspections before shipment
Operate hand tools and department equipment safely
Coordinate with Shipping Supervisor to meet daily shipping schedules
Enter shipping data accurately into system platforms
Maintain inventory of 2 threaded flanges for small valves
Monitor and manage cardboard baler operations
Assist receiving department during staffing shortages
Conduct weekly manual inventory and shortage reporting
Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements
Perform other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
Manufacturing or warehouse/shipping experience preferred
Ability to learn product knowledge and company systems quickly
Strong computer and data entry skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to stay calm and work under pressure
Reliable flexible and good judgment required
Ability to learn part names and numbers
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 7075 lbs
Push carts weighing up to lbs
Stand and work on feet for extended periods
Comfortable working in a hands-on physical environment
Work Environment
This is a hands-on manufacturing/warehouse role requiring attention to detail mechanical aptitude and strong teamwork. Candidates must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and following strict safety standards.
