Shipping Clerk I

POSITION SUMMARY:

This entry-level position will perform the disassembly packaging and shipping of modular structures and conveyance. If you have experience with carpentry/pallet building this is the ideal position for you!

• Candidates relocating from more than 50 miles from Red Bud IL facility are eligible for a $5000 relocation bonus to help cover moving expenses. Employees must remain employed for 12 months to retain the relocation bonus.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Breakdown pre-assembled units and modular structures per shipping schedule and instructions.
• Build skids and/or containers asrequired for protection and safe transport to the final destination.
• Pack disassembled components for shipment per instructions.
• Stage packed components for shipment.
• Operate a forklift within the safety procedures and policies prescribed.
• Operate other department equipmentincluding: saws shrink wrapper banders nail guns etc.
• Regular attendancein accordance with the attendance policy.
• Conduct activities in a safe and healthy manner and workin accordance with established safety and company requirements.

KNOWLEDGE/ SKILL/ ABILITY/ EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. is preferred.
• One (1) to two (2) years of manufacturing and/or industrial construction experience is preferred.
• High mechanical aptitude isrequired.
• Experience withhandheld tools (drill circular saw) and assembling parts is required.
• High level of energy and motivation.
• Must be able to read a tape measure.
• Ability to read blueprints is preferred.
• Supplying personal tool requirements per department list is required.
• Strong math and problem-solvingskills are required.
• Must be able to perform job responsibilities at heights.
• Ability to operate a forklift and crane is strongly preferred; previous experience is a plus.
• Ability to work flexible hours including but not limited to frequent and mandatory overtime and weekends isrequired.
• Must possess the ability to interact effectively with all levels of personnel both hourly and management in a team environment.
