Shipping Clerk

Location: Elgin IL
Shift: 1st Shift (MondayFriday)
Pay: Competitive Based on Experience

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our team in Elgin IL. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing outgoing shipments maintaining accurate shipping records coordinating with carriers and ensuring customer orders are processed accurately and on time. This role requires excellent organizational skills attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and process domestic and international shipments.

  • Create shipping labels packing slips and bills of lading.

  • Verify outgoing shipments for accuracy and completeness.

  • Coordinate daily pickups with freight carriers and parcel services (UPS FedEx DHL LTL carriers etc.).

  • Maintain accurate shipping documentation and inventory records.

  • Enter shipping information into the ERP system.

  • Package products according to customer and company specifications.

  • Assist with receiving incoming materials as needed.

  • Communicate with customer service warehouse and production teams to ensure on-time deliveries.

  • Maintain a clean safe and organized work area.

  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Shipping Clerk Shipping & Receiving Clerk or Warehouse Shipping Coordinator preferred.

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is highly preferred.

  • Familiarity with ERP systems and Microsoft Office.

  • Experience using UPS WorldShip FedEx Ship Manager or similar shipping software is a plus.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.

  • Forklift experience is a plus but not required.

  • High school diploma or GED required.
