Job Description
Performs various shipping duties accurately and efficiently to help meet andexceed on-time shipping shippingaccuracyand shipping efficiency goals.
Duties and Responsibilities
Packsa wide range of products using proper shipping materials and techniques to ensure all items are protectedduring shippingfor both domestic and international shipments
Identifiesorders that require priority shipping andutilizesmost appropriatecost effectivemethods (NDA Ground FTLetc)
Assistswith picking orders stacking product on pallets wrapping pallets applying shipping labels loading trucks kittingandpick zone replenishment process.
Communicates with other departmentsregardingchallenges affecting the shipping department priority shipmentsor shipped products
Processes orders accurately andin a timely mannerusing shipping software generatingrequired documentation forthe selected shipping method.
Follows forklift and powered pallet jack safety procedures including but not limited topre trip proper chargingoperating and warehouse barricading.
Puts and picks pallets from warehouse racking using forklift
Partnerwithlogisticsand other departmentsoncarrier changes latepick upsandtroubleshootingproblems
Assistother departments with one time shipping needsincluding ensuringproper documentationis completedincluding any hazmat declarations
Assistwith truck unloading and storing parts inappropriate locations
Monitor and document shipping errors
Create and sendDaily Shipping Summary Report
Follows all company protocols attendance policies HRrequirementsand safety procedures
Maintains a safe clean working environment.
Sends advanced shipping notice to customers who require them providing necessary information on the pending shipment using EDIspreadsheetsor e-mail.
Schedules pickups when necessary including full truck and LTL pickups providing all necessary shipping documentation communicating delivery details to the customer whenand logging relevant information
Documents current processesandsuggestsprocess improvements
Maintain and update data and records inshipping software coordinating with other teams when necessary
Invoices orders producing all necessary packing slips shipping labels package identification labels and documentation as required by customer order type and shipping method.
Miscellaneous duties as assigned by the supervisor
Skills & Knowledge
High School Diploma or GED Required
Basic computer skills experience withAS400 Excel Word Outlook SharePoint UPSWorldshipdesired
Communication skills ability to communicate and work well with others
Accuracy-mindedanddetail-oriented
Must be able to prioritize workloadwork under pressure andmeet deadlines
Must be able tooperatea forkliftsafely indoorsandoutdoors
Previousshipping experiencedesired
Physical Requirements
This job requires you tolift upto 40lbs bend twist turn kneel squat reach overhead perform strong pinch and grip push-pull up to 100lbs and stand/walk up to 10 hours per day.
Work Environment
A large percentageof work time is spent in a production warehouse where temperatures range from warm tocooland noise level can be moderate to high.
Work Schedule
TheBattle Ground WA locationshipping departmentoperateson a 4/10 work schedule Monday Thursday with occasional mandatory overtime on Fridays or weekends as needed.
The pay range for this position in Washington State is $21.01 to $25.71. Individual pay within those ranges is determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education experience knowledge skills and geography.
Base Pay Range:
$21.01 - $25.71Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. Visa sponsorship will not be provided. To qualify for this position former employees must be eligible for rehire and current employees must be in good standing.
