Shift: 2nd Shift 3:00 PM 11:30 PM
Pay: $22.00 per hour
Schedule: Weekends overtime and holidays as business needs require.
Reports To: Warehouse Supervisor
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
The Shipping Clerk is responsible for the accurate shipping receiving and movement of materials throughout the facility. This position ensures products are received stored and shipped accurately while maintaining inventory integrity and supporting efficient warehouse operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented organized and committed to safety quality and customer service.
- Prepare outbound shipments using the most efficient and cost-effective shipping methods.
- Select appropriate packaging materials and safely package products to prevent damage during transit.
- Prepare bills of lading shipping labels and other required shipping documentation.
- Verify shipment quantities destinations and routing against work orders and shipping documentation.
- Receive unload and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Sort count label package and record materials received or shipped.
- Route incoming materials to the appropriate departments or warehouse locations.
- Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for damage or discrepancies and promptly report issues to the Warehouse Supervisor or Purchasing Department.
- Deliver materials to internal departments and obtain required documentation or signatures.
- Investigate and assist with tracing lost shipments and processing proof of delivery requests.
- Maintain shipping receiving and inventory records in warehouse systems.
- Support inventory accuracy through proper material handling and documentation.
- Complete daily shipping and receiving paperwork accurately and on time.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned.
- Maintain a clean organized and safe work environment.
- Follow all company safety policies procedures and housekeeping standards.
- Properly operate warehouse equipment and report maintenance or safety concerns.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Ability to read write and perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to accurately count verify and record inventory.
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to safely lift carry and move materials throughout the warehouse.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Working knowledge of warehouse safety practices.
- Basic computer and recordkeeping skills.
- Two (2) or more years of warehouse shipping or receiving experience.
- Experience with warehouse inventory systems or ERP software.
- Knowledge of commercial shipping methods carriers and shipping documentation.
- Forklift certification or the ability to become certified.
- Frequently lift push pull and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Stand walk bend stoop reach and climb throughout the workday.
- Safely operate warehouse equipment including forklifts and pallet jacks as required.
- Work in varying warehouse temperatures and environmental conditions.
No regular travel is required.
