The Shipping Clerk is responsible for preparing processing and managing outgoing shipments to ensure accurate and timely delivery.
Compensation and Schedule
- $21.62 per hour
- 1st Shift: M-F 6:50am-2:50pm
- Prepare and package outgoing shipments according to company standards
- Verify order accuracy including product quantities and shipping information
- Generate shipping labels invoices and other required documentation
- Maintain detailed shipping records and update tracking information
- Inspect shipments for damage accuracy and completeness before dispatch
- Assist with loading shipments onto trucks or delivery vehicles
- Monitor inventory of shipping supplies and reorder as needed
- Troubleshoot and resolve shipping issues delays or discrepancies
- Follow all company policies and safety procedures
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous shipping warehouse or logistics experience preferred
- Basic knowledge of shipping software and systems
- Familiarity with inventory management practices is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office shipping platforms)
- Effective communication and teamwork
- Problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Ability to lift and move packages up to 50 lbs
- Frequent standing walking bending and lifting
