SUMMARY: Provides clerical support and assistance to the department manager and personnel while coordinating shipments of finished product by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Coordinates and processes shipments of finished goods to our customers in the most cost effective and timely manner possible. Approximately 90% of the time.
- Supports and assists the Department Manager. Works with department to solve problems. Assumes the Managers duties and responsibilities in their absence. Approximately 5% of the time.
- Works on special projects to improve functions of the department (i.e. barcoding automated receiving reports etc.) Troubleshooting Radius systems.
- Develops and revises SOPs for the department as needed.
- Assists with receiving and shipping of UPS and Federal Express deliveries as needed.
- Prepares monthly quarterly and annual reports for internal and external needs. Approximately 2% of time.
- Maintains inventory of department supplies as needed.
- Participate in department safety activities and safety team activities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associates degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read analyze and interpret general business periodicals professional journals technical procedures or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers clients customers and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written oral diagram or schedule form.
