Job Summary

Shift Supervisor Vehicle Operators Los Angeles CA

Lead a team of Vehicle Operators (VOs) ensuring they understand and execute both short- and long-term operational goals. In this role youll be a hands-on leader working alongside your team daily to ensure all software and hardware tests are executed to high standards. You will collaborate closely with other leaders within fleet operations to safely and efficiently drive day-to-day vehicle fleet operations. The ideal candidate is a disciplined team player with a strong sense of ownership and a commitment to safety operational excellence and team development.


Available Shift

Wednesday-Sunday 3:45 PM-12:15 AM

Location - In-person

Hourly Rate: 41.00 USD Per Hour

Schedule - Full-time (usually 30 hours/week)

Assignment Length: Contract


Responsibilities:

  • Foster a safety-first inclusive and open communication culture.
  • Support vehicle operators in daily operations and ensure adherence to procedures and standards.
  • Complete administrative tasks related to team coordination scheduling and shift validation.
  • Provide regular written and verbal feedback to direct reports.
  • Develop subject matter expertise in proprietary vehicle operations software and systems.
  • Motivate mentor and guide team members to meet performance and safety expectations.
  • Serve as a point of contact for contractors ensuring clarity of responsibilities and execution of assigned tasks.
  • Support operational missions in a variety of roles both in and out of vehicles.
  • Act as a player-coach by working alongside the team and leading by example.
  • Perform additional duties assigned by leadership.

Required skills

  • 2 years of autonomous vehicle operator experience and active AVT permit
  • Experience working in a high-level collaborative environment and promoting a teamwork mentality
  • Proven ability to solve problems and improve operational efficiency
  • Proactive mindset and resourcefulness
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to coordinate with team members and management and explain technical issues
  • Excellent driving history
  • Proactive mindset and resourcefulness
  • Preferred Skills: 12 months of experience working in a Vehicle Operations role. 2 years of autonomous vehicle industry or operations experience
  • Experience as an Instructor or Lead within an operations team or equivalent management or leadership experience
  • Experience in leading or managing a highly cross-functional team
