Shift Supervisor-Homeless Services

S:US is seeking a Shift Supervisor for their mens shelter in Brooklyn.

This position is located at Ralph Avenue Brooklyn NY 11233.

SCOPE OF ROLE:

The Shift Supervisor provides supervision and training to residential aides and community coordinators.

Supervision includes but is not limited to ongoing individual supervisory meetings; building inspections ongoing feedback regarding job performance; coordinating work schedules timesheets and requests for time off; coordinating work assignments; evaluating paperwork and documentation including the Security Log and Maintenance Work Order Log books; coordinating security and maintenance staff training development and evaluation. May be required to fulfill duties of residential aides and/or custodial personnel in their for maintaining fire safety and administrative duties.

• High School Diploma or GED required
• 2 years of experience in Security or Building Maintenance is required.
• Ability to provide crisis intervention utilizing good interpersonal skills with a high level of maturity and responsibility
• Experience in office management and/or staff supervision is required.
• Experience working in a large residential/institutional setting with a special needs population is required.
• Strong writing interpersonal and organizational skills required.
• F-80 is required.
• Security license is mandatory but may be obtained within 6 months if hired.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

• NYS Drivers License preferred
• Bilingual English/Spanish speaking preferred
