Position Summary

Mesabi Metallics is looking foraShiftSupervisorwho willberesponsible foroverseeing the concentrator plants operations during their assigned shift. This role involves ensuring efficient and safe processing of ore managing personnel and coordinating with other departments to achieve production goals whilemaintaininghigh standardsof quality and safety.

Job Responsibilities

Reportingto theCoordinator Crusher/Concentrator theShift Supervisorwillbe responsible forthe following:

• Attend all monthlysafetyactivities and meetings
• Maintainingwork flowby monitoring steps of the processsetting processing variablesobservingcontrol points and equipmentmonitoringteam and resourcesstudying methodsandimplementing cost reductions
• Developing reporting procedures and systems
• Facilitating corrections to malfunctions within process control points
• Initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments
• Accomplishingresults by communicating job expectationsplanning monitoring and appraising job results
• Completing aproduction plan by scheduling and assigning personnelaccomplishingwork resultsestablishing prioritiesmonitoringprogressrevising schedulesresolving problems andreporting results of the processing flow
• Providing information by compiling initiating sorting and analyzing production performance records and data
• Maintainingasafe and clean work environment by educating and directing team on the use of all control points equipment and resources
• Helpingresolve team problems by analyzing datainvestigating issuesidentifyingsolutions and recommending action
• Other duties as assigned

Skills and Qualifications

• Working knowledge of processing facility operations in the Mining industry includingconcentrator operations safety maintenance equipment and staffutilization.
• Previoussupervisory experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skillsincludingtheability to effectively train and mentor employees.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable with a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent work ethic and attendance record.
• Able to work 12-hour shifts

Education

• High School Diploma or GED.

Physical Requirements

• This position requires some work in front of a PC desk andphoneand regular field work.
• Some lifting and strengthrequiredwhen working inplant.
• Must be availabletowork shifts weekendscall-outsand overtime.

Salary

• $92000 - $115000 annually depending on experience and qualifications.
