About the Role
As a Shared Housing Case Manager youll walk alongside individuals and families moving from housing instability toward lasting independence. Working at the intersection of case management and housing coordination youll support clients from initial assessment through lease negotiation and roommate matching. Youll build trusted relationships with clients landlords and community partners alike making sure every participant has the tools resources and encouragement needed to achieve safe stable self-sufficient living.
Typical schedule is Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Some evening or on-call availability may be required to respond to client crises and quarterly field work is required for shared housing inspections.
What Youll Do
- Carry a caseload of approximately 2025 clients requiring hands-on case management
- Conduct client assessments to identify service needs and barriers to housing stability
- Develop housing case plans in partnership with clients focused on housing health and essential needs
- Maintain accurate timely records in HMIS and other required systems
- Serve as liaison between clients and landlords supporting lease negotiations and mediating issues
- Help clients find safe affordable shared housing and match with compatible roommates
- Conduct home inspections to ensure safety and habitability
- Provide crisis intervention safety planning and connection to emergency services
- Connect clients to food assistance SNAP benefits and financial literacy education
- Build and maintain a referral network across community agencies
- Represent The Just One Project at community events including a minimum of 6 Pop Up & Give events per year
What You Bring
- Bachelors degree in Social Work Human Services Psychology or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 3 years in case management social services housing services or a related field
- Experience with crisis intervention and safety planning
- Experience using HMIS or similar case management databases with strong documentation skills
- Experience in a nonprofit setting and/or with vulnerable populations
- A valid unrestricted Nevada drivers license and reliable transportation required for home inspections
- Ability to obtain a Nevada Food Handler Safety Training Card within 30 days of hire
- A client centered trauma informed approach and sound judgment in high-stress situations
