Our facility in New Berlinis now looking for aSewer 2nd Shift.

This role is a fulltime 40hour position on 2nd shift.
Hours: MondayFriday 2:00pm10:00pm
Pay Range: $16.00$17.00 per hour based on experience plus a $0.50 shift differential

Key Tasks

Safely operateindustrial sewing machines to sew all products in accordance with companyperformance and quality standards.
Read and follow work order specifications via Electronic Distribution of Orders (EDO) & order hard copies and/or white tickets to build and assemble quality parts in an accurate and timely fashion.
Sew material according to product specifications.
Operate all industrial sewing machines including single needle.
Make minor machine adjustments.
Meet QC standards in sewing operations.
Perform routine machine maintenance.
Flip completed covers.
Maintain daily log on completed work.
Maintain weekly sewing production percentage above 90%.
Log cutting errors such as too long notches not cut etc
Monitor and stock work area with Velcro buckles zippers zipper pulls and common loop.
Follow and comply with all safety work rules regulations ISO procedures lean Initiatives and lean events.
Maintain departmental housekeeping standards. Maintain 5S Program.
Assist in other departments as needed to ensure products are completed on time.
Maintain Kanban System and participate in cycle counts.

Maintains quality service by:

Meeting/Exceeding all measurements of performance: quality accuracy timeliness and thoroughness of work performed.

Contributes to team effort by:
Maintaining a good attendance record; accomplishing related results as needed; having on call list responsibility.

Your Background
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Prior manufacturing experience preferred.
Prior industrial sewing experience preferred.
Experience working with Juki sewing machines preferred.
Basic mathematical skills (add subtract multiply and divide).
Ability to read a tape measure.
Ability to read write and understand instruction detail written and communicated in English.
Good oral and written communication skills in order to interact with employees and supervisor.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before employees of the organization.
Ability to define problems collects data establishes facts and draws valid conclusions.
Basic computer knowledge and ability to navigate the internet to access company portals preferred.
