Our client in the Metro Atlanta area seeks a Service Technician to diagnose repair and maintain small gas engines and electric motor systems. Ideal candidates possess specialized small engine repair experience (e.g. power washers flat surface cleaners floor care machines) alongside a strong electrical background to troubleshoot ignition circuits switches and wiring components.
Key Responsibilities
Troubleshoot and repair small gasoline engines. Dismantle engines replace broken parts (e.g. carburetors pistons) and rebuild as necessary.
Test and repair electrical components including ignition systems starter motors relays and wiring harnesses. Utilize multimeters and electrical testing equipment.
Perform routine servicing such as oil changes filter replacements and spark plug gapping.
Record details of inspections test results repairs made and parts used.

Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of professional experience repairing small engines (e.g. industrial pressure washers).
Electrical Skills: Proven background in electrical diagnosis and repair with the ability to read schematics and use diagnostic instruments.
Mechanical Aptitude: Working knowledge of hand and power tools common to the power equipment repair industry.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs stand for extended periods and bend stoop and kneel comfortably.
License: Valid Drivers License with an acceptable driving record.
