Sweetwater Propane Inc. is a local propane company focusing on customer service. Were hiring a skilled Service Technician with a CDL (or willingness to obtain) and someone looking for on-the-job training. We provide you with the latest technology to install tanks and complete repairs to customer tanks efficiently and punctually. We are a faith-based company that values our customers and employees.

About Our Service Technician Position

• Install maintain and service customer and company propane systems including equipment inspections leak detection and repairs on customer property.
• Provide excellent customer service treating all customers in a friendly and courteous manner; ask questions to understand the problem at hand.
• Bill customers for services & parts and account for funds and inventory of parts & tools.
• Willing to drive and work outdoors you will cross-train to deliver propane in a Bobtail truck or Cylinder delivery truck (Support in obtaining Class B CDL provided.)
• Perform a visual inspection of truck before and after your shift maintaining cleanliness inside and out.
• Inform manager of all accidents traffic violations and damage to vehicles or customer property and any necessary truck maintenance.
• Monday to Friday approx. 45 hrs per week. Occasional Saturday hours as needed.
• We will provide on-the-job training.

What Were Looking For In Our Service Technician

• Clean Driving History: Must have a clean driving record to operate company vehicles. We are looking for someone with a Class A or B CDL with Hazmat Tanker and Air Brake endorsements or willing to obtain a CDL with endorsements. Must be at least 25 years old able to pass a DOT physical and drug test and obtain necessary clearances.
• Excellent Communicator: Able to build great rapport with customers; courteous and friendly.
• Mechanically Inclined: Solid mechanical aptitude. Able to use basic tools.
• Active: Must be able to lift and pull equipment that weighs 50 to 75 pounds
• Detailed: Knowledgeable and confident can identify and determine the cause of a needed repair. Highly organized.
• Team Player: Humble enough to admit mistakes. Driven to do a great job. Great people skills. Great attitude.
