JOB SUMMARY

As a Flooring Division Service Technician your role will involve servicing repairing and maintaining various types of flooring in residential construction. You will be responsible for reviewing service tickets and completing tasks as indicated. This may involve measuring and cutting materials removing and installing tile LVP/Wood or Carpet and ensuring that the final product meets quality standards. Additionally you may be required to troubleshoot and repair any issues with existing tile LVP/Wood or carpet as well as provide recommendations for upgrades or replacements. Strong technical skills attention to detail and the ability to work independently or as part of a team are essential for success in this position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assess tickets Flooring or wall material installation or repair needs.
• Taking precise measurements and determining the materials required for the job.
• Cutting assembling and installing flooring materials according to design specifications.
• Ensuring that materials are flat plumb level secure and aesthetically pleasing.
• Troubleshooting and repairing any issues with existing installations such as loose or hollow tiles cracking grout clicking floorboards ripped carpet or damaged surfaces.
• Communicating effectively with teams to understand their preferences and address any concerns.
• Follow company safety policies and procedures.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
• Regular and reliable attendance.
• Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications

• Valid Drivers License.
• 5-10 years related experience and/or equivalent training or both.
• Attention to detail a must.
• Knowledge of different flooring types and installation techniques.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Customer orientated approach.
• Must be able to work in a team environment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Stationary Position: Ability to remain in a stationary position (sitting or standing) throughout the workday.
• Mobility: Frequently required to move throughout job sites/Travel.
• Lifting/Carrying: Frequently lifts and/or moves items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Positioning: Install materials including stooping kneeling crouching or crawling.
• Manual Dexterity: May operate a computer and other office or production equipment.
• Communication: Ability to effectively communicate and exchange accurate information with customers and team members including in busy or noisy environments.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment characteristics described below are representative of those encountered while performing the essential functions of this position.

• Warehouse/Facility: May be exposed to non-climate-controlled environments (heat and cold) moving mechanical parts vibration and elevated noise levels.
• Job Site/Field: Exposure to active construction sites outdoor weather conditions dust and fumes. Requires use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as hard hats safety glasses and steel-toed boots.
• Travel: Requires travel to job sites and local offices.
