Doug Smith Subaru is looking for a dependable customer-focused Service Support Specialist to join our Service Department.

This is a hands-on support position that helps keep our service department organized efficient and moving throughout the day. The position includes working with customer vehicles supporting daily service operations assisting customers on the service drive and stepping in to help manage customer service visits when needed.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working around vehicles is comfortable interacting with customers and wants to learn more about the automotive service industry.

• Greet customers and help direct them when they arrive for service

• Move park stage and retrieve customer vehicles

• Help maintain an organized service drive and vehicle parking areas

• Assist with customer transportation and vehicle pickup or delivery as needed

• Help keep the service drive and customer areas clean and presentable

• Support the service team with day-to-day tasks that keep vehicles and customers moving efficiently

• Check customers in and gather information about their service needs when needed

• Create service repair orders for routine maintenance and service

• Review maintenance needs and vehicle inspection results with customers

• Explain recommended services pricing and estimated completion times

• Obtain customer authorization for additional work

• Provide customers with updates while their vehicle is being serviced

• Review completed work with customers and help make sure they have a great experience from arrival through pickup

• Assist wherever needed to keep the department running smoothly

• Valid drivers license and a good driving record

• Dependable punctual and willing to help wherever needed

• Friendly and professional with customers

• Strong communication skills

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

• Able to stay organized while handling multiple tasks

• Comfortable using computers and learning new software

• Interest in vehicles and automotive service

• Willingness to learn new responsibilities and take on more as you develop

• Previous automotive experience is helpful but not required

This position provides an opportunity to learn multiple sides of a busy automotive service department. Youll gain experience working directly with vehicles customers technicians and the service team while learning how a dealership service department operates.

Well provide training on our systems and processes including how to assist customers throughout their service visit. For someone who performs well and wants to continue developing there are opportunities to take on additional responsibility and advance within the dealership.
