Description

The Service Authorization Specialist is responsible for monitoring service authorizations for individuals receiving services within the Vice Presidents departments. This role also oversees the tracking of departmental revenue ensures the accuracy of authorization and billing information and serves as the primary liaison between the departments and the Business Office to support efficient financial and operational processes.


Essential Responsibilities:

Track submission of all budgets to Service coordinators

Track all service authorizations for assigned individuals in MMIS

Receive and review all individual client budgets for Director review completion and submission upon renewal.

Report any budgetary discrepancies in MMIS to the appropriate Director and VP in a timely manner

Promote and enhance public relations with both the internal and external community through exemplary customer service with our Service Coordination partners.

Assist Directors with the development of the annual budget as needed.

Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor

Requirements

Qualifications:

Education and Experience

Associates degree required with a minimum of 2 years of experience in office work required Bachelors degree preferred

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and database systems required

Valid drivers license and access to a safe operating vehicle during scheduled working hours
