We are looking for a Full-Time Service Writer & Warranty Administrator to help us in delivering award-winning customer service and creating a unique and memorable experience for our customers. This position will assist the Service Manager in ensuring the success of the Marina at our Meredith NH location.
Position Overview
The Service Writer & Warranty Administrator will report to the Service Manager and assist in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Service department and ensuring our customers receive prompt courteous and effective this position you will be part of a team that specializes in the maintenance repair and detailing of most makes and models of boats
Primary Responsibilities
Communicate with customers in a professional manner to gather allthe informationnecessary to createan accurateestimate.
Consult and sell services thatare applicableto the type of boat andcustomersneeds.
Provide customers with a schedule of work updates and any changes that may occur.
Coordinate with customers on transportation of their boat.
Communicate with technicians to informcustomersofthebestremediesto properly repairtheirvessel.
Locate order and input parts for customer units basedontechniciansnotesand diagnosis.
Finalize and invoice work orders.
Ensure each customer has a positive service experience.
Spend quality time building a relationship with the customer.
Follow up after work is complete.
Work with vendors to process Warranty claims.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
A minimum of 2 years marine service writer experience preferred
Excellent customer service and phone skills are a must.
Must have superior selling skills and knowledge of how to cross-sell products and services.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Problem solving skills.
Marine parts and services knowledge is a must.
Experience with Lightspeed EVO preferred.
Intermediate computer skills.
Physical Requirements
Ability to work in an active fast-paced service environment.
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
Must be able to work in various weather conditions.
Education Licensing & Skills
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Valid Drivers License required.
Boaters License preferred.
Work Schedule
MondayFriday Weekends (5 days per week)
MondayFriday schedule during off-peak season
