Technical Claim Manager - Design Professionals/Construction

Seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Claim Manager specializing in Design Professionals/Construction to join a team. This role involves managing professional liability claims including Errors and Omissions (E&O) and miscellaneous professional liability (MPL) litigation. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in claims handling coverage analysis and litigation management.

• Base Salary Range: $115778 - $168746 per year bonus opportunities

• Proactively manage professional liability claims including Errors and Omissions (E&O) and miscellaneous professional liability (MPL) litigation.
• Conduct thorough investigations assess coverage issues and issue appropriate coverage letters and documentation.
• Establish and maintain accurate reserves for claims.
• Pursue risk transfer opportunities including contractual indemnity and additional insured issues.
• Ensure claims are handled in accordance with company best practices and resolved in a timely and cost-effective manner.
• Attend mediations settlement conferences and trials as necessary.

• Education: Bachelors degree in business administration insurance or a related field. A Juris Doctor (JD) is preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in claims handling or litigation with a focus on professional liability claims.
• Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of case law statutes and procedures related to professional liability claims.
  • Proficiency in proactive investigation risk transfer attorney management and claims resolution.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with insureds claimants underwriters and senior management.
