Gather organize and analyze financial and tax-related information to ensure accurate and timely tax return preparation.
Research tax issues and evaluate tax situations to identify opportunities for tax savings and regulatory compliance.
Develop practical tax solutions and communicate recommendations to engagement teams and clients.
Prepare accounting-related reports and supporting documentation within a paperless technology-driven work environment.
Maintain organized workpapers and ensure compliance with firm quality standards and professional regulations.
Build strong client relationships by responding to inquiries and providing proactive professional service.
Assist with tax research planning strategies and consulting engagements for a variety of industries.
Mentor and train Associates by providing technical guidance reviewing work and supporting professional development.
Stay current on changes to federal state and local tax laws IRS regulations and accounting standards.
Participate in continuing education professional development programs and networking opportunities to enhance technical and leadership skills.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Accounting or a related field.
Active Certified Public Accountant CPA license or progress toward CPA licensure preferred. Enrolled Agent EA certification is also accepted.
Minimum of 2 to 4 years of public accounting tax experience.
Strong understanding of federal and state tax laws tax accounting principles and IRS regulations.
Experience preparing tax returns for individuals and multiple business entity types.
Strong analytical research and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a client-focused approach.
Ability to manage multiple engagements while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced public accounting environment.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
