About the role:

Everfox is seeking a Senior Tactical Data Link Software Engineer with hands-on experience developing and supporting secure software solutions within U.S. Government and military environments. The ideal candidate will have direct experience with military messaging and tactical data-link standards such as Link 16 JREAP-C TADIL-J USMTF and VMF combined with strong Linux software development and networking expertise. The position willbe responsible fordeveloping & testing new product capabilities software development/build tools software test infrastructure & operational support for will work in a cohesive team environment willing to grow & learn using many software development & operational tools to test debug & support software for secure Linux desktop environments IT operations/enterprise management IP networking/routing and remote/virtual desktop deployments. Utilize yourexpertisein legacy U.S. Government messaging systems to guide the requirement definitiondesignand implementation of secure message gateways.

Work Schedule: Full Time Monday Friday (standard work schedule with flexibility for mission critical requirements). This positionmayrequiresomeminimum travelas needed to meet customer and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate competency working hands-on in Linux based environments.

• Develop newfeatures and extensions to existing products using a variety of languages including Rust C C Java and proprietary languages.

• Self-starterutilizingyour Linux and scriptingexpertisetointegratenew features and extensionsintocomplex products.

• Leverage standard networking concepts to support the design and implementation of Cross Domaincapabilities.

• Develop data inspection policies using proprietary and open-source programming languages.

• Provide technical briefings to customers andEverfoxleadership asrequired.

Key Experience and Education Requirements:

• Direct experience with Link16 JREAP-C TADIL-J USMTF VMF and related standards and protocols.

• BS Computer Science Computer Engineer Information Security or equivalent

• 12years experiencein software engineering systemengineeringor related disciplines

• Experiencewith software development in Linux environments using a variety of programming and scripting languages including Java Python Go C/C and/or bash

• Hands-on experience implementingTCP/IP networking & related protocols (such as HTTP SSH IPSEC TLS/SSLetc)

• Robustunderstanding of private and public keys and or certificates

• Experience with version control technologies such as Git

• Red Hat EnterpriseFedoraor Ubuntu Linux operating systems
• Ability to obtain US Government Security Clearance if needed

Nice to Have:

• Experience with security design and architecture of Cross Domain solutions (CDS)

• Experience with AI coding tools such as Claude Code CodexGeminiorOpenCode

• Agile or Scrum development experience

• Experience with deploying cloud technologies such as MS Azure or AWS

• Development experience in a distributedparallelor clustered processing environment

• Experience with virtual desktop redisplay technologies such as RDP Citrix Receiver or VMware Horizon View
