Senior Systems Test & Integration Engineer

DESE Research Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Senior Systems Test & Integration Engineer to lead the design release and maintenance of technical data packages and advanced test programs. This position will play a principal role in the architecture design development and integration of complex Special Test Equipment (STE) for critical flight hardware and will architect and manage complex system requirements using IBM DOORS.

The successful candidate will act as the primary technical interface for requirements traceability via IBM DOORS author comprehensive technical data packages and direct the engineering of custom STE used to validate complex electro-mechanical assemblies. This role requires extensive collaboration and technical leadership across multidisciplinary engineering teams suppliers and program stakeholders to ensure STE capabilities accurately verify that hardware meets specifications. A successful candidate will demonstrate deep technical expertise in mechanical test fixtures expert proficiency in DOORS requirements management and the ability to drive success in a fast-paced development environment.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Engineering (Systems Engineering Mechanical Engineering Aerospace Engineering Materials Engineering or a related technical discipline) from an accredited university
• Five (5) to Ten (10) or more years of relevant professional experience in systems engineering test integration or hardware validation
• Three (3) years or more of expert-level experience utilizing IBM DOORS for tracking tracing and managing system or subsystem-level requirements.
• Proven experience architecting and maintaining complex Verification Cross Reference Matrices (VCRMs) to map requirements to major test events
• Demonstrated experience leading the design development or integration of Special Test Equipment (STE) hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) test benches or automated telemetry/data acquisition setups
• Strong mastery of configuration management principles for hardware configurations flight hardware and software test builds
• Advanced technical writing skills with extensive experience drafting major test procedures qualification plans or system verification reports
• Expert analytical diagnostic and troubleshooting skills across deeply interconnected hardware and software elements
• Excellent communication and leadership skills to coordinate effectively between design engineers lab technicians test floor personnel and customer representatives

Desired Qualifications:

• Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance
• Professional experience leading missile systems precision-guided munitions or integrated air and missile defense programs
• Advanced experience utilizing Python MATLAB or LabVIEW to interface with test equipment or analyze post-test data streams
• Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) concepts and tools such as Cameo Systems Modeler to link models to DOORS requirements
• Deep understanding of military standards for testing environment simulation or interface control documentation (ICDs)
• Experience leading and presenting at formal milestone events such as Test Readiness Reviews (TRRs) or Preliminary/Critical Design Reviews (PDR/CDR)

Responsibilities:

• Support the integration of missile test programs by ensuring tactical requirements are mapped to specific test cases executed and fully verified
• Oversee and manage the IBM DOORS database for assigned subsystems entering changes creating links and generating traceability reports
• Verify the readiness and hardware/software configuration baseline of Special Test Equipment (STE) prior to active testing windows
• Partner with test operators and technicians to execute hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) simulations and environmental test profiles
• Author and update step-by-step test procedures directly derived from DOORS requirement baselines
• Lead the investigation of test floor anomalies and root-cause troubleshooting investigations
• Gather review and finalize post-test data to populate compliance matrices verify requirements and complete technical design packages
• Coordinate strategically with project managers systems architects and laboratory teams to maintain the testing schedule and mitigate program risks
• Communicate task status technical roadblocks testing metrics and engineering risks clearly to engineering leadership and program stakeholders
