We are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer - Infrastructure to work onsite in Cedar Rapids IA. At Collins Aerospaceweremodernizing the U.S. Air Force Nuclear Command Control and Communications (NC3) capability as part of the Survivable Airborne Operations Center (SAOC) Program to recapitalize the E-4B fleet with next-generation capabilities. As a Systems Engineer on the SAOC engineering team we will equip you with the opportunities and resources necessary to develop yourexpertisein the systems engineering lifecycle.You will have the opportunity to learn from top professionals in the communications and nuclear deterrence sectors at Collins Aerospace.This role will be part of ageographicallydistributed team responsible for systems andsecurityengineering tasks associated with our next-generationnetwork compute and storagetechnologies.

What YOU will do:

YOU will work closely with a highly motivated and dedicated team of professionals and other internal/external stakeholders while executingmodel-basedsystemsengineering development activities for the Survivable Airborne Operations Center (SAOC) program.

YOUwillparticipatein the systems development lifecycledeveloping typical systems artifacts that includetradestudies system design requirements definition requirements allocation requirement traceabilityICD creationsystems integration verificationtestingand qualification.

YOU willparticipatein andhelpfacilitateAgile ceremonies Agile sprint reviews user storyrefinementand end of sprint product demos.

YOUwill work directly with stakeholders to answer technical questions help solve problems and support successful project execution.

Qualifications You Must Have:

Experience in one or more areas of the systems engineering lifecycle including requirements development design integration verification validation and technical documentation.

Experience in one or more areas of MBSE including system modeling requirements traceabilityorarchitecture development.

Experience using the Atlassian resource suite specifically: Jira Jamaand Confluence.

Typically requires a degree in Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experienceoran Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.

The ability to obtain and maintain aTop SecretU.S. government issued security clearance is.

U.S. citizenship isrequired as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer:

Experience designing and developing distributed computing and networked systems using industry-standard protocols and technologies.

Experience working in Agile teams and collaborating across software hardware cyber and systems engineering disciplines

Experience with MIL-STD hardened environments ensuring compliance with military specifications for ruggedness durability and security.

Practical experience with MBSE conceptsSysML and modeling tools such as CameoMagicDraw or Enterprise Architect.

Experience across the systems engineering lifecycle including requirements design integration verification validation and technical documentation.

Experience developing requirements and collaborating with consuming teams on interfaces performance and system integration.

Experience collaborating withdesignteams to ensure implemented designs meet system integration and operational requirements.

Working knowledge of bidding and project/task estimation tools (e.g.SEER products).

The salary range for this role is 86800 USD - 165200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
