Senior System Analyst GM Defense IT Location- Remote Job Summary
The Senior System Analyst GM Defense IT is responsible for analyzing supporting and enhancing business systems and technology solutions that support defense-related operations. This role serves as a liaison between business stakeholders and IT teams ensuring that system capabilities align with operational requirements compliance standards and strategic business objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze business processes system requirements and operational needs to recommend effective technology solutions.
- Gather document and validate business and functional requirements.
- Collaborate with business users project teams developers and vendors to design and implement system enhancements.
- Support enterprise applications and integrations used within defense-related business functions.
- Perform system configuration testing troubleshooting and issue resolution activities.
- Develop and execute test plans test cases and user acceptance testing (UAT) support.
- Monitor system performance and identify opportunities for process and system improvements.
- Ensure compliance with organizational security and regulatory requirements.
- Create and maintain functional specifications process documentation and user guides.
- Support incident management change management and release management activities.
- Participate in technology projects upgrades and system implementation initiatives.
- Provide end-user support training and knowledge transfer as needed.
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology Computer Science Information Systems Engineering or a related field.
- 5 8 years of experience as a Systems Analyst Business Systems Analyst or related IT role.
- Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into functional and technical solutions.
- Strong understanding of enterprise applications system integrations and software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Experience with testing methodologies process analysis and documentation.
- Knowledge of IT service management and change control processes.
- Strong analytical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Experience supporting defense government manufacturing supply chain or engineering systems.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity compliance and data protection requirements.
- Experience with enterprise platforms such as ERP PLM CRM or custom business applications.
- Knowledge of Agile Scrum or hybrid project delivery methodologies.
- Relevant certifications such as CBAP CCBA or ITIL Foundation.
