Job Summary

At Balfour Beatty Construction in San Diego we are seeking a Senior Superintendent to work on various projects. This position is responsible for all field operations including the coordination of subcontractors work. Responsible for all field activities associated with the project including ultimate responsibility for implementation of Safety/Zero Harm program for the job site supervision of all field construction work by subcontractors and self-performed work. Share responsibility with the project manager for developing the project budget actively participating in the preconstruction phase and ensuring that the project is built on time within budget and according to company policies and procedures. Manages and mentors assistant superintendents and other field FunctionsSafety: ZERO HARMLead Oversee and Educate Owners Subcontractors Team Members and Community on the Zero Harm safety culture and its project safety walks. Lead in project safety meetings. Lead Safety Stand downs toolbox talks and in incident safety is properly incorporated into job planning and project DevelopmentDevelop and maintain strong with new and existing clients construction managers architects/ engineers subcontractors key stakes holders and operations-related components of proposals and construction delivery portions of Financial Responsibility to ensure a project is delivered with in Project Cost Projection and Financial Reporting (Monthly Quarterly and Yearly).Budget and approve monthly owner and subcontractor pay with Project Manager on Potential extra charges and proper Cost Event tracking and Order with with Constructability/ Value and update Phase and Site Logistic Overall Project in the creation of project GC and GR budgets Staff in Scope of Owner in Preconstruction Meeting with Owner and Subcontractors and & SchedulingDevelop the Overall Project Plan Phasing Logistics Milestones and schedule updates (prefer P6 experience)- Monthly Updates 3 week look ahead pull planning sessions with subcontractors and other key tracking and Notifications. Time Impact Analysis to Identify Navigate and negotiation schedule roadblocks Loaded Schedule experience is a Administration Operations and Close-outCo- Lead with Project Manager Owner Architect Contractor (OAC) and Key Stake Holder weekly subcontractor Monthly Project Reporting (MPR) preparation and job needs / issues up as the Project Quality Control Program Preconstruction Meeting first work inspections and in closeout of project subcontractors and vendors. Lead project punch list certificate of occupancy and government Effective Teams Foster Positive Culture Leadership and Employee Development. Mentor train and develop salary personnel in all aspects of their careers. Provide timely feedback and ensure that employees participate in the performance review RequirementsHigh School Diploma or years or more of commercial construction fieldexperience on K-12 and or Higher ED Construction. (Both are not required).Ten years of direct supervisory experience related to staff and subcontractor using a personal computer (PC) and company communication tools such as email the internet Procore Bluebeam Navisworks and Microsoft products (e.g. Word Excel Office Outlook). This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and the range may be modified in the future. An employees pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including but not limited to relevant education qualifications certifications experience skills seniority geographic location performance shift travel requirements any collective bargaining agreements and business or organizational needs.
