Job Description:

As a Senior Specialist Systems Engineer you will contribute to a diverse technical team on the Maintenance of Space Situational Awareness Integrated Capabilities (MOSSAIC) Space Surveillance Telescope (SST) team. This position supports the Space Defense portfolio within the Space & Mission Systems segment a great team of talented professionals with world class technical expertise who take a collaborative approach to engineering and enjoy working together. In this position you will bring your systems engineering background to a system engineering role where you can make a broad impact on programs and projects that are critical to our customers!

Essential Functions:

• 2 years experience with SysML/MBSE
• Excellent communication and presentation skills and the ability to work harmoniously in a team environment with government customers and other contractors
• Ability to negotiate solutions among functional groups (Systems Engineering Mission Engineering Software Engineering etc.)
• Proven analytical and troubleshooting skills demonstrated by related work experience
• Strong coordination and organization skills with a focus on details
• Proficient with domain knowledge (space systems engineering ground optical systems general systems)
• Participate in agile execution MBSE and requirements analysis.
• Possess interpersonal leadership skills with support to customers including meetings and briefings.
• Possess DoD engineering experience System Development Life Cycle knowledge Familiarity with DoD 5000.
• Experience with DoD Systems Engineering artifacts (SEP SEMP TEMP CMP DMP).
• Experience with INCOSE and/or NASA Systems Engineering Handbook requirements writing guide.
• Potential 10% travel required.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related lieu of a degree minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Experience with and knowledge of Space Domain Awareness mission and systems
• Experience with MagicDraw MBSE tool
• Experience with development and editing of MBSE diagrams requirements use-cases and traceability to requirements
• Experience with Engineering Drawings and traceability MagicDraw
• Rational Dynamic Object-Oriented Requirements System (DOORs) experience
• SysML/MBSE experience
• Willingness to travel to remote location for up to a month per year

In compliance with pay transparency requirements the salary range for this role in Colorado state is $92500-$171500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
