Senior Software Engineer Firmware

What Youll Do

• Contribute to firmware development activities including technical planning execution and progress updates in partnership with cross-functional teams

• Design develop and maintainhigh-quality embedded software using modern C and object-oriented programming principles

• Develop real-time firmware components that interface closely with custom hardware while supporting requirements for safety reliability determinism and testability

• Collaborate with system hardware and architecture teams to translate product requirements into clear firmware designs and well-defined hardware interfaces

• Support design improvements and consistent engineering practices across products in collaboration with senior engineers and architects

• Participate in design and code reviews sharing knowledge and helping uphold coding standards best practices and regulatory expectations

• Work within an Agile development environment including sprint planning execution and continuous improvement activities

• Support and collaborate with other engineers contributing to a culture of learning inclusion and strong engineering fundamentals

• Take ownership of assigned work by communicating progress clearly identifying risks early and following through with team support

• Bring curiosity and enthusiasm forAI-assisted development exploring responsible ways to use AI tools to improve code quality testing documentation and developer efficiency

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors degree (or foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Engineering Electrical Engineering Computer Science or a related field

• 4 years of experience developing software inC with object-oriented design and programming experience

• Experience designing developing testing or debugging embedded firmware or closely related software systems

• Familiarity with the software development life cycle from requirements through implementation and verification

Preferred Qualifications

• Masters degree in a related technical field

• Experience withCI automated testing or related software quality practices

• Experience troubleshooting embedded systems using tools such as emulators JTAG debuggers logic analyzers or protocol analyzers

• Experience working with a real-time operating system (RTOS) such as VxWorks

• Experience working in a Linux-based development environment

• Passion in AI-enabled development tools such as those used for code comprehension testing refactoring reviews or documentation applied in alignment with security privacy and quality standards

• Experience working in regulated environments or with structured documentation of requirements designs testing and results
