Senior Software Engineer — CloudKit Client

Apple is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to help build the next generation of cloud services infrastructure. Youll design and implement key components of the iCloud platform integrating powerful new capabilities deep into the core of Apples operating systems. nnYour work will enable entirely new applications and help scale existing onesincluding iCloud Drive Photos Notes FaceTime and many more. Our team builds the on-device software that makes iCloud this role youll focus on building CloudKit Our privacy-focused sync and storage system. CloudKit manages user data for most Apple apps as well as many third-party design and build the frameworks and daemons that support both systems working closely with engineering teams across the company who are adopting this technologyand with colleagues who build our client and server strong candidate will have experience and interest in Apple platforms ready to tackle challenges like protocol design interprocess communication device resource management API design reliability and performance. Since so much of the user experience depends on services were also looking for engineers who are passionate about complex distributed value thoughtful engineering collaborative problem-solving and shipping work were proud of. 5 years of software engineering experience with strong programming skills in Objective-C and/or SwiftnExperience building on Apple Platforms (macOS iOS watchOS tvOS etc.)nExperience in building system-level frameworks and APIsnExcellent communicationnBachelors Degree in an engineering-related field or equivalent related experience

Experience in Swift concurrencynExperience with security privacy and cryptography conceptsnExperience with event-based programming or inter-process communication is a plusnProven track record of working on rapid development cycles and shipping software on tight schedules
