Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable and customer-focused Senior Shift Leader/Assistant Manager to support daily operations lead team members and deliver an exceptional guest experience. This role will assist with store management employee supervision shift execution inventory control cash handling and compliance with company policies standards and applicable safety regulations.

Senior Shift Leader/Assistant Manager Responsibilities
  • Support the General Manager or Store Manager with daily operations and business performance.

  • Lead coach and motivate team members during assigned shifts.

  • Assign tasks coordinate workstations and ensure appropriate staffing throughout each shift.

  • Open and close the location according to company procedures including securing the building and completing required checklists.

  • Provide friendly professional and responsive guest service.

  • Resolve guest questions concerns and complaints in a timely and appropriate manner.

  • Ensure products services and orders meet company quality accuracy and presentation standards.

  • Operate point-of-sale systems process transactions and maintain accurate cash handling procedures.

  • Complete cash counts deposits register audits and financial reports as assigned.

  • Monitor inventory levels receive deliveries rotate products and report shortages or discrepancies.

  • Maintain a clean organized safe and fully operational store environment.

  • Ensure team members follow company policies food safety procedures workplace safety requirements and applicable regulations.

  • Train new employees and provide ongoing guidance feedback and performance support.

  • Communicate shift updates operational issues staffing needs and maintenance concerns to management.

  • Complete required records reports checklists and incident documentation accurately.

  • Assist with scheduling labor management merchandising promotions and other administrative duties as assigned.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Senior Shift Leader/Assistant Manager Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

  • Previous experience in retail restaurant hospitality guest service or a supervisory role preferred.

  • Ability to lead employees delegate responsibilities and make sound decisions during a shift.

  • Strong guest service communication organization and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to operate a point-of-sale system handle cash and use basic workplace technology.

  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with management and team members.

  • Reliable attendance and flexibility to support changing business needs.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive business or employee information appropriately.

  • Ability to complete any required background check employment screening or certification process.

Senior Shift Leader/Assistant Manager Skills and Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand walk bend reach stoop and move throughout the work location for extended periods.

  • Ability to lift carry stock and move products or supplies weighing up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.

  • Ability to safely use equipment tools registers computers and communication devices required for the position.

  • Attention to detail when handling transactions inventory schedules customer orders and operational records.

  • Ability to remain calm professional and solution-oriented in a fast-paced environment.

Schedule and Work Environment

This position may require early mornings evenings weekends holidays overtime and varied shift schedules based on business needs. The Senior Shift Leader/Assistant Manager will work in a guest-facing environment and may be exposed to standing frequent movement varying temperatures noise and busy periods. This role will work closely with store management team members guests vendors and other business partners.
