For 125 years Catholic Charities Brooklyn and Queens has been providing quality social services to the neighborhoods of Brooklyn and Queens and currently offers 160-plus programs and services for children youth adults seniors and those struggling with mental illness. STATEMENT OF THE JOB:Under the direct supervision of the Service Fee Supervisor the position is responsible for computerized Medicaid Medicare and MCO billing electronic and manual remittance processing from multiple pay sources including Medicaid Medicare and Managed electronic and manual remittance processing from multiple pay sources including Medicaid Medicare and Managed aging standardized billing data with remittances and preparing spreadsheets to track follow-up process. Review weekly suspense data from reports to identify patterns of inefficiency and lost corrective action. Re-bill and adjust claims as necessary. Batch and submit claims to Medicaid Medicare and denial -up with payer regarding issues or denial and update with direct care program staff as needed. Other tasks as assigned by the :Associates degree required/Bachelors preferred.5 years of progressive work experience in related field is required. Experience with Electronic billing software Net Smart working with Medicaid Medicare and Managed Care. Working knowledge of Excel MS Word and Outlook and overall computer to travel to multiple locations within the five boroughs as needed. Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
