We are seeking a curious and self-driven server software engineer to help design implement and deliver scalable and secure health research tools. As a member of our fast-paced group in Apple Health you will have the opportunity to work cross functionally with various addition to using technical knowledge to drive features and improvements you must be comfortable with evolving requirements and have excellent interpersonal skills. Success depends on working with cross-functional teams. Our primary responsibilities are delivering high-quality reliable and secure platform features and tools to support data storage large-scale analysis and algorithm development.

Collaborating with cross functional partners to understand their needs and influence product strategynArchitecting and implementing large-scale distributed backend systems with a strong emphasis on scalability performance and reliabilitynInvestigating and debugging production applications and systemsnDesigning and implementing test automation to validate system behavior and prevent regressionsnOwning and evolving the backend tech stack; making key decisions on frameworks tools and data infrastructurenClearly communicating with the team managers and cross-functional partnersnLeading projects with multiple engineers to deliver new features from concept to productionnLeading technical design reviews and ensuring system design aligns with business objectives and engineering best practicesnMentoring and guiding engineers to foster a culture of learning code quality and continuous improvement

7 years experience developing testing and delivering softwarenStrong communication and collaboration skillsn7 years experience with an object-oriented language (Java or Python preferred)nDeep experience in micro-services architecture and API patternsnBS Computer Science or equivalent experience

Experience as a technical leader on a team and mentoring other engineersnExperience with relational databases no-SQL databases or blob storagenFamiliarity with public cloud infrastructure and platform services
