Senior Security Engineer

Endurance IT Services is in search of Senior Security Engineer to join a client in North Virginia! This security engineer will help design implement and maintain enterprise security solutions that protect systems data and users. This role combines security engineering incident response technical leadership and cross-functional collaboration to strengthen the organizations overall security posture.

• Design implement and support enterprise security tools and services across endpoint cloud email network and identity security domains.
  
• Monitor security alerts logs and telemetry to identify threats vulnerabilities and opportunities for improvement.
  
• Ensure security platforms remain properly configured patched and aligned with established security standards.
  
• Support incident response activities including investigation containment remediation and post-incident reviews.
  
• Partner with IT and project teams to integrate security requirements into system designs and technology initiatives.
  
• Assist with audits compliance efforts documentation policies standards and operational runbooks.
  
• Research emerging threats and technologies and recommend security enhancements.
  
• Lead or contribute to security projects while providing technical guidance to peers and stakeholders.
  

• 5 years of experience designing implementing and administering enterprise security solutions.
  
• Strong expertise in areas such as endpoint security vulnerability management cloud security Microsoft 365 security encryption logging and threat management.
  
• Experience with incident response root cause analysis and remediation activities.
  
• Knowledge of security controls standards compliance frameworks and audit processes.
  
• Strong analytical troubleshooting documentation and communication skills.
  
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across technical and business teams.Preferred Qualifications
  

• Bachelors degree in Cybersecurity Information Technology Computer Science Engineering or a related field or equivalent experience.
  
• Security certifications such as CISSP CISA GIAC Security Microsoft Security or similar credentials.
  
• Experience with Azure Microsoft 365 SIEM platforms network security vulnerability management endpoint protection and enterprise security operations.
  
• Experience working in a regulated or large-scale enterprise IT environment.
