Senior Seasoning Flavorist

International Flavors and Fragrances Inc. seeks Seasoning Flavorist Senior in Carrollton TX to execute snack food customer briefs and commercial technology validation for implementation for the region. Requirements: Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Food Science or a related field and ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or in a related occupation: creating consumer preferred seasonings for snack foods; anticipating investigating and resolving problems related to raw materials and flavor systems during manufacturing scale-up procedures; leading Global and Region projects for key Global Accounts; testing and evaluating new raw materials and technologies with experimental design; assisting internally and externally to solve raw material and manufacturing issues including troubleshooting manufacturing procedures including addition and blend times and identifying quality issues with ingredients including caking agglomeration high moisture or inconsistent particle size; investigating and resolving problems related to seasoning behavior and flavor systems during manufacturing of Finished product at Snack manufacturing plants. Two (2) years of experience must include: training seasoning flavorists to develop consumer preferred seasonings including training to identify potential functionality and shelf-life issues with seasonings; and leading productivity projects to reduce cost of seasonings including identifying raw material and ingredient alternatives and alternative manufacturing processes. Employer will accept two (2) years of related work experience in lieu of Bachelors degree requirement. 20% travel required nationally and internationally for plant trials and/or Culinary explorations.
