Senior Scientist Translational Science Lab, Flow Cytometry

• Plan assay and method development activities and draft clear robust laboratory methods
• Execute method development experiments and support validation and analytical testing activities as needed
• Troubleshoot assays and apply root cause analysis to optimize performance and resolve technical issues
• Transfer methods into validation processes and collaborate across functions to ensure methods are sustainable and scalable
• Lead low to moderately complex technical projects and guide assigned team members to achieve project deliverables
• Mentor and train junior staff while contributing technical expertise to scientific reports presentations and documentation
• Support laboratory equipment maintenance operational standards and evaluation of new instrumentation
  

• Bachelors degree in a relevant scientific discipline is required
• 4 years of related experience in method or assay development or specific methodology area.
• 2 years experience working with flow cytometry
• Familiarity and working knowledge of immunology
• Sound knowledge of assay/method development and scientific principles theories concepts and state of the art instrumentation
• Experience with method validation assay troubleshooting and transfer of methods into laboratory operations
• Other equivalent combination of education training and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree
  

• Strong troubleshooting and advanced problem-solving skills including application of root cause analysis
• Effective communication and presentation skills with the ability to work successfully across functions and comfortable training others
• Strong organizational skills and close attention to detail in a regulated laboratory environment
• Ability to manage multiple tasks independently and bring projects to completion within timeline expectations
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers managers and clients
