We are seeking a Senior Scientist to join our DSCS Digital Technologies (DDT) organization within Development Sciences and Clinical Supply (DSCS) located in Rahway NJ.

In this rolethe chosen candidatewill work with a team of scientists tasked withidentifying developing and deployingdigital and data-richtechnologiesaimed at improving themanner in whichprocess product and analyticalunderstanding is gathered. Thetoolsthatwe develop are as the team developing them and in thisSeniorScientistrolethe chosen candidatewillleveragedigitaltechnologiestoenablechemistry manufacturing and controls (CMC)activitiesacrossour Companys small molecule biologics and vaccines portfolio.
Thechosen candidate willleveragehigh throughput experimentation and lab automation approaches focusing on applications in drug product and/or drug substance developmentto help advancescientificresearch. This includes but is not limited to developing high throughput experimentation platforms and generating datasets in support of drug product development and/or drug substance development activities in vaccine and/or biologics.

Deliver world-renownedscienceby partnering with researchers to understand experimental needs and convert them into scalabledigitalworkflows
Work at the intersection ofmultipledisciplines collaborating with experts in automation data science modeling IT andthe CMC community at large
Lead high-impact projectsfrom concept through deployment working across teams and stakeholders to deliver meaningful outcomes
Continuously improveexistingdigital technologies and automation platformsto enhance performance usability and reliability
Empower othersby providing hands-onpartnershipsupport troubleshooting and training to scientists using thesetechnologies
Education Minimum Requirement:
Ph.D. in Chemical/Biochemical/Biomedical Engineering Chemistry Biology Biochemistry Pharmaceutical Sciences or a closely-related field (with expected graduation by September 2026)
M.S. in Chemical/Biochemical/Biomedical Engineering Chemistry Biology Biochemistry Pharmaceutical Sciences or a closely-related field with at least 2 years of industrial/pharmaceutical or relevant experience
B.S. in Chemical/Biochemical/Biomedical Engineering Chemistry Biology Biochemistry Pharmaceutical Sciences or a closely-related field with at least 4 years of industrial/pharmaceutical or relevant experience
Required Experience and Skills:
Relevant working experience in drug product and/or drug substance development in support of biologics and/or vaccines assets
Hands-on experience with usage of high-throughput lab automation technologies to streamline formulation and/or bioprocess development
Hands-on experience with biochemical and biophysical analytical technologies commonly utilized in drug product development
Demonstrated entrepreneurship skills aimed at delivering impactful novel technologies to key stakeholders
Excellent communication skills demonstrated creativity and effective interpersonal skills
Ability to deliver complex solutions under compressed timelines in a dynamic environment
Ability to work in a team environment with cross-functional interactions
Preferred Experience and Skills:
Hands-on experience with the development and implementation of high-throughput lab automation technologies to streamline formulation and/or bioprocess development
Experience with the development and implementation of design of experiments data science and data engineering tools to accelerate formulation or bioprocess development
Experience in new technology research including a demonstrated track record of identifying developing and deploying data-rich tools and methodologies
Evidence of cross-functional collaboration in an academic or industrial setting
Motivated to learn new skills willingness to take on new challenges and scientific curiosity

The salary range for this role is
$117000.00 - $184200.00This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employees position within the salary range will be based on several factors including but not limited to relevant education qualifications certifications experience skills geographic location government requirements and business or organizational needs.
The successful candidate will be eligible for annual bonus and long-term incentive if applicable.
