Job Summary
This is a remote position.
Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior SAP IS-U Consultant with deep utilities-industry expertise to support a client in the energy and utilities sector. The ideal candidate has end-to-end IS-U configuration experience and understands the operational realities of billing device management and customer service for utility providers.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure and support SAP IS-U across core areas: Device Management Billing and Invoicing and Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable (FI-CA).
- Design and support Move-In / Move-Out processes meter reading and meter data management.
- Manage master data structures for business partners contract accounts and installations.
- Support integration with CRM meter data management systems and downstream financial processes.
- Contribute to S/4HANA Utilities transition or migration activities where applicable.
- Gather requirements author functional specifications and coordinate with technical and offshore teams.
- Support testing cutover and post-go-live stabilization.
Required Qualifications
- Must be US-based and authorized to work in the United States.
- 10 years of SAP experience with a strong concentration in IS-U / Utilities.
- Hands-on configuration expertise across Device Management Billing/Invoicing and FI-CA.
- Solid understanding of utility business processes (electric gas and/or water).
- Strong requirements-gathering and stakeholder-facing communication skills.
Preferred
- S/4HANA Utilities experience.
- Exposure to meter data management (MDM/MDUS) or smart metering programs.
- SAP IS-U certification.
