Senior RHEL Engineer

We are hiring for an exciting opportunity with a leading Energy client for a Senior RHEL Engineer to join their Infrastructure Hosting Team.

Position Details:
Title: Senior RHEL Engineer
Employment Type: 8-Month Contract-to-Hire (W2)
Location: Preferred reporting locations are Little Rock AR or Jackson MS
Work Model: Onsite 2 3 days per week (Every Other Friday Off)
Interview Process: In-person interview with Platform Manager and Lead Engineer

Role Overview:
This is a high-priority role supporting enterprise-scale mission-critical workloads in a highly regulated utility environment. The selected candidate will be responsible for architecting engineering and supporting Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments across both on-premises infrastructure and AWS cloud platforms.

The role requires strong hands-on expertise in RHEL engineering virtualization automation and hybrid cloud environments. The team also supports SAP HANA infrastructure workloads.

Required Experience:
8 years of hands-on RHEL engineering and administration experience
Strong virtualization experience (Nutanix preferred; VMware acceptable)
Hybrid cloud experience across AWS and on-prem environments
Automation and scripting expertise with Ansible Automation Platform Python Bash and/or YAML
Experience supporting enterprise-scale regulated environments
Ability to participate in on-call rotation and travel up to 25%

Nice to Have:
Terraform experience
SAP HANA infrastructure exposure
AWS and/or ITIL certifications
Utility or energy industry experience
